8. 9. The Cabinet meeting on July 23, 2002 approved the following:
9.1 The project for the establishment of a research and development center for special education management for autistic children in a demonstration school of Khon Kaen University as proposed by the Faculty through the university and the Ministry of University Affairs.
9.2 ให้มหาวิทยาลัย จ่ายงบประมาณรายจ่ายประจำปี พ.ศ. 2545 งบกลางรายการเงินสำรองจ่ายเพื่อกรณีฉุกเฉินหรือเป็นจำนวน 481,500 บาท เพื่อเป็นค่าใช้จ่ายในการดำเนินการ โครงการจัดตั้งศูนย์วิจัยฯ ในปีงบประมาณพ.ศ. 2545 ในเวลาสามเดือนสุดท้ายของปีงบประมาณ พ.ศ. 2545 คือตั้งแต่ กรกฎาคม – กันยายน 2545 (ตามที่คณะฯ เสนอขอ)
9.3 สำนักงบประมาณได้ตั้งงบประมาณรายจ่ายประจำปีงบประมาณ 2546 สำหรับดำเนินการในปีแรกไว้แล้วตามร่างพระราชบัญญัติงบประมาณรายจ่ายประจำปีงบประมาณ พ.ศ. 2547 (ตามแผนการจัดทำงบประมาณฯ ในช่วงพัฒนาแผนการศึกษาระดับอุดมศึกษาระยะที่ 9 พ.ศ. 2545 – 2549) สำนักงบประมาณจะใช้แผนค่าใช้จ่ายของโครงการฯ ตามที่คณะฯ เสนอขอผ่านมหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น เป็นกรอบในการพิจารณาจัดสรรงบประมาณให้ความจำเป็นและเหมาะสมที่จะต้องใช้จ่ายในแต่ละปีต่อไป
10. สภามหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น ในคราวประชุมครั้งที่ 7/2545 เมื่อวันที่ 31 กรกฎาคม 2545 ได้เห็นชอบให้คณะฯ จัดตั้งศูนย์วิจัย และรับนักเรียนเด็กออทิสติกจำนวน 5 คน เข้าร่วมโครงการตั้งแต่เดือนสิงหาคม 2545 เป็นต้นไป (ตามงบประมาณที่โรงเรียนสาธิตฯ ได้รับจัดสรรตามข้อ 9.2) โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์ของศูนย์วิจัยละพัฒนาการจัดการศึกษาพิเศษแบบเรียนรวมสำหรับเด็กออทิสติก โรงเรียนสาธิตมหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น
10.1 เพื่อทำการศึกษาวิจัยและพัฒนารูปแบบการจัดการเรียนการสอนแบบเรียนรวมที่เหมาะสมและมีประสิทธิภาพสำหรับเด็กออทิสติก
10.2 เพื่อเป็นศูนย์กลางของการศึกษา ค้นคว้าวิจัยและพัฒนาการศึกษาแบบเรียนรวมสำหรับเด็กออทิสติกภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือ
10.3 เพื่อเผยแพร่ข้อมูล ข่าวสาร และความรู้ในการจัดการศึกษาของเด็กออทิสติกไปสู่โรงเรียน สถาบันการศึกษาและสาธารณชนที่สนใจ
